Come meet with Ryan Tindale and Kailey Okabe who will discuss the basics of teaching online. Ryan is currently teaching a grade 8 class virtually with the DDSB and Kailey is a second year B’Ed student doing a placement with Ryan.
They cover what to do when you get the call to teach online. The basics of the Google Classroom homepage and first steps to do once you sign in. They’ll then dive deeper into Google Classroom and discuss breakout rooms – how to set them up and use them effectively. Finally, we’ll look at some Board supported programs that you can try with your class.
With all classes being taught virtually now, it’s more important than ever to be able to use virtual tools with confidence. Please bring your questions to this workshop.
