This session will address several key issues, concepts and skills related to anti-oppression education. Helpful strategies for responding to “teachable moments” on these complex themes in the classroom will also be discussed.
This is the first of three anti-oppressive education workshops being offered by the DDSB. While it would be beneficial to attend all three, it is not required. Please feel free to attend those that would suit you professional learning needs best. Coming up: November 3: Anti-Oppressive Education: Best Practices for OTs and November 17: Anti-Oppressive Education: Problem Solving. (Registration for the Nov. 3 & 17 workshops will come out soon. Register for those when you receive the notices.)
