Assessment plays a critical role in teaching students to be independent and autonomous learners. Learning goals and success criteria clearly identify what students are expected to know and be able to do, in language that students can readily understand.
In this two-part session, participants will develop an understanding of learning goals, success criteria, self and peer assessment and descriptive feedback as integral components of the assessment for, as and of learning continuum.
Through a series of videos, examples and discussions, research-based strategies and applications to the classroom will be examined and shared.
Dates: November 29 and December 6, 2016 (participants must attend both sessions).
