Once a week I have math centers to reiterate what they have learned.  My math centers book only goes up to grade 3.  I chose this book because it continues up to grade 6.  Since I am at the end of the grade 3 school year, I’ll be putting some centers together with this book.

“Math Centers” is a great book because it allows you to quickly set up 15 math centers for grades 4 – 6.  The pages are colourful and self-contained.  The book contains full-colour materials, reproducible answer forms, and activities for different levels of difficulty.  The centers range from individual practice to partner practice.  The work is self-contained, requires no special center area, can be easily stored and allows students to practice and review skills.  Students enjoy working in centers because they are fun games and they don’t realize they are learning!  I have the book “Math Centers Gr 1 – 3” and my students love it; I know I will get as much use out of the “Math Centers Gr 4 – 6”.  I find they are teacher friendly and can be used without an explanation.  They can be used for fast finishers or as a math center.
