We are forming two (2) Ad Hoc Committees to help with the ongoing operation of your Local. We are looking for members to put their names forward to serve on these Committees.
Committees drive many of the programmes that help make the ETFO Durham Occasional Teachers’ Local the strong and forward thinking organization that we are. Being a member of a Committee is an important way in becoming involved with your Local and seeing up close how the Local operates. Please take some time and consider getting involved.
The Ad Hoc Committees that we are forming for the 2016-2018 term include:
Awards and Recognition Committee: This Committee will develop a programme to recognize long term members and to honour members who are retiring from career daily supply teaching.
Indigenous Committee: This Committee will carry the good work that was begun with the PAC Committee. It will continue to find ways to support the indigenous community as well as to make members aware of the problems surrounding this issue.
