Embedding Critical Thinking into Social Studies (Jr/Int)

Do you want your students to be able to analyze situations and events?  Explore different perspectives and recognize biases?  Be responsive to the information they’re presented with? Not take what they see, hear and read at face value?  If you answered yes to one or all of these questions, you really want your students to be critical thinkers!  What does that mean in a social studies/history classroom?

Using the Critical Thinking Consortium’s (TC2) approach to promoting a thinking classroom, educators will learn how to create and nurture critical thinkers and be provided with lessons and activities to implement in their classrooms the very next day!
