Occasional staff play an important role in school communities. This training session is designed to support staff in this role. Participants receive CPR-C Certification through the Life Saving Society upon completion. In addition to receiving the certification, awareness of the other medical emergencies will be covered, including:
- choking
- allergic reactions / Sabrina’s Law
- respiratory emergencies (asthma – Ryan’s Law; hyperventilation)
- bleeds
- shock
- diabetes
- seizures
- emergency scene management
NOTE: THIS IS A 5 HOUR TRAINING SESSION AND PARTICIPANTS MUST BE PREPARED TO STAY FOR THE ENTIRE SESSION. (Asking to leave “a bit early” will result in not receiving certification!)
