In order for students to become independent learners, they must learn to develop self-assessment skills and to identify the actions they need to take to define and meet their own long and short term goals.
In this workshop participants will learn how to model the setting of attainable, specific individual learning goals for students, and how to support and provide feedback to students as they move from guided practice to independent practice. Teachers will discuss their role in developing resilient learners who move gradually to increase their responsibility for their own learning.
