Performance Appraisal Process

Only supervisory officers, elementary principals, and vice-principals shall evaluate an Occasional Teacher’s competence.

Daily OTs:  A daily Occasional Teacher may request an appraisal as per Board procedure but one is not required. If an appraisal is conducted, the OT will receive a copy of any written documentation about his or her performance and will have the opportunity to sign as having read it and is entitled to make comments if desired. The appraisal and comments will be retained as part of the OTs personnel file at the DDSB.

 LTOs: To be considered eligible to apply for permanent positions, a Long Term Occasional Teacher must have completed at least one LTO assignment atminimum 4 months in duration, and received a satisfactory performance evaluation. The performance evaluation process is as follows:  TBA
