Mental Health First Aid Training.

With the current focus on mental health, understanding and being able to deal with mental health issues is becoming increasingly more important. This workshop will focus on such mental health issues as: substance abuse, mood, anxiety, psychotic, eating and deliberate self-harm disorders. It includes crisis first aid skills for situations such as substance overdose, suicidal behaviour, panic attack, acute stress reaction, and psychotic episodes.
This 14 hour training session is geared for Adults who work with youth approximately 12 years of age and older.
Participants must attend both sessions in order to receive certification from the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
